Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our clinical team. In this role, you’ll assist with pre- and post-operative patient care, support surgical teams in maintaining a clean and efficient environment, and contribute to a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center (ASC).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Provide basic clinical support to non-acutely ill surgical patients
- Prepare and maintain a safe, clean patient care environment
- Support with transport, positioning, and turnover between procedures
- Maintain infection control and aseptic standards in patient care areas
- Accurately document care and communicate with the clinical team as needed
Required Skills:
- Understanding of patient care charts and clinical workflows
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform standard procedures (e.g., vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture) per protocol
- Familiarity with surgical patient care and sterile field maintenance
- Adaptable and able to work collaboratively with clinical staff in a changing environment
- Committed to safety, accuracy, and patient satisfaction
Required Experience:
- Medical Assistant or formal clinical training preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar patient care role
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting is a plus
