AP/Insurance verification at Baptist Ambulatory Surgery Center
The AP/Insurance Verification Clerk is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, entering accurate information into the system, and ensuring procedures are authorized. This role also supports billing, coding, and follow-up with patients, providers, and insurers.
In addition, the clerk manages the full accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a healthcare or surgical center setting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills ability to effectively present information to patients, physicians, and other employees of surgery center.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR and patient access software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving; strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Reliability: Longevity in past roles.
