Prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with Nutritional Services established policies and procedures. Prepares meals for patients and retail operation using proper production systems. Performs duties in a clean and organized manner. Always works as a team member within the entire facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares quality meals in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
- Complies with state food service sanitation regulations.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of safety policies and procedures as specified in the department policy and procedure manual.
- Assists in the enhancement of productivity duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates excellent attendance & punctuality.
- Maintains knowledge of equipment.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential task as assigned.
- Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Three years of Healthcare institutional cooking preferred.
