We are seeking passionate, patient-focused, service-oriented healthcare professionals to join our team!
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Schedule, reschedule and/or cancel imaging procedures as necessary.
- Handling pending patient sheets for future schedule.
- Collecting patient demographics at the time of schedule & to pre-register patient’s demographics including Medicare and supplements.
- Contacting insurance companies for benefit and authorization information & to perform follow-up calls to verify necessary authorizations.
- Assuring an authorization is received before placing the patient on the schedule.
- Answer incoming phone calls in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
- Represent OCOM in a professional and friendly manner to patients, physicians, outside office personnel, fellow coworkers and the general public.
- Responsible for ensuring proper completion of paperwork & scanning patient information in PowerChart.
- Responsible for calculating patient portion and attempting to collect payment from patient while scheduling.
- Responsible for working orders received via Cerner Direct Referrals.
- Cross trained to assist surgery verification when needed.

- Prefer 2-5 years previous scheduling experience in a healthcare organization.
