What You’ll Do
As a Phase II/PACU RN, you’ll play a critical role in post-anesthesia recovery, ensuring each patient receives safe, compassionate care as they transition from surgery to discharge.
Phase II/PACU Responsibilities:
✔️ Receive handoff from PACU or OR nurse.
✔️ Monitor vital signs, airway, respiratory and circulatory status.
✔️ Administer medications and follow physician orders.
✔️ Promote patient comfort, privacy, and safety.
✔️ Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
✔️ Coordinate smooth, timely patient discharge, ensuring a seamless transition home.
✔️ Complete post-operative calls and provide follow-up care.
What We’re Looking For
Licensure & Certification:
✔ Active Oklahoma RN License (or eligibility)
✔ BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
✔ ACLS/PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Experience:
✔ Minimum 1 year of experience in PACU, Phase II recovery, critical care, or similar post-anesthesia setting preferred.
