Responsibilities:

Collect blood specimens from patients in accordance with established guidelines and safety protocols.

Ensure accuracy in specimen collection and labeling by following standard operating procedures.

Maintain patient confidentiality as required by HIPAA regulations.

Educate patients on the phlebotomy procedure and address any questions or concerns.

Ensure that all equipment is in proper working order and store supplies securely.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all specimens collected and patient information.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to phlebotomy.

Assist in other areas of the lab as necessary, such as labeling specimens and preparing samples for analysis.

Provide exceptional customer service to patients by creating a welcoming and comfortable experience.

Participate in continuing education programs and seminars to stay up to date on best practices.


Required Skills:

Qualifications

•The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills
•The ideal candidate must possess a current state certification or license as a Phlebotomist and have a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience
•They must also be flexible and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•The successful applicant must also possess a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
