Your Role as a Surgery Manager

As Surgery Manager, you will lead, manage, and optimize surgical services within the hospital. You’ll ensure top-quality patient care, streamline operations, and support an efficient surgical team. You’ll also serve as a liaison between physicians and staff to create a seamless surgical experience.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Surgical Operations & Scheduling:

  • Review and approve daily surgery schedules.

  • Ensure proper equipment, supplies, and staffing for each case.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve OR issues as they arise.

✔️ Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate surgical staff.

  • Foster professional growth and leadership skills among team members.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

✔️ Physician & Staff Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between surgeons and OR staff.

  • Address physician requests, ensuring equipment and supply availability.

  • Maintain a positive, efficient, and well-organized OR environment.

✔️ Financial & Operational Oversight:

  • Prepare, monitor, and adhere to hospital and department budgets.

  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize cost efficiency.

  • Implement and maintain performance standards and quality improvement initiatives.

✔️ Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all surgical services meet regulatory and safety requirements.

  • Maintain proper handling, documentation, and inventory of narcotics.

  • Oversee infection control measures and environment of care checks.

✔️ Patient-Centered Care & Communication:

  • Ensure proper documentation, confidentiality, and continuity of care.

  • Encourage patient safety and satisfaction as a top priority.

  • Promote a positive and professional work environment.


What We’re Looking For

Education & Certifications:
Licensed RN in Oklahoma
BCLS Certified (ACLS preferred; must obtain within 90 days if not certified)

Experience & Skills:
5–7 years of management experience in a surgical setting
✔ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
✔ Experience with budgeting, compliance, and team development
