Your Role as a Surgical Scrub Technologist

As a Surgical Scrub Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.


Key Responsibilities

✔ Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
✔ Set up, organize, and ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment
✔ Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures and pass instruments accurately and efficiently
✔ Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile processing standards
✔ Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping under RN direction
✔ Handle specimens according to facility protocols
✔ Participate in room turnover and ensure proper instrument processing
✔ Restock and maintain surgical supplies
✔ Communicate effectively with the surgical team to promote safe, coordinated patient care


What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

✔ High School Diploma or equivalent
✔ Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology
✔ Surgical Technologist certification (preferred but not required)
✔ AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Skills & Abilities

✔ Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
✔ Excellent attention to detail
✔ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
✔ Strong written and verbal communication skills
✔ Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient safety
