Assist the Director in planning, organizing, supervision, coordination, and control of the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems and grounds of this facility in an operative and safe working condition.
Participate in maintaining performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Ensures competency of all staff.
Responsibilities:
- ManageHVAC,electrical,plumbing,medicalgas,emergencypower,andfire/lifesafety systems
- Maintain compliance with DNV, CMS, NFPA, OSHA and Environment of Carestandards
- Support regulatory surveys, documentation, and correctiveactions
- Oversee preventive maintenance, CMMS/work orders, andvendors
- Coordinate renovations and minor construction, includingICRA/ILSMs
- Supervise facilities staff and prioritize dailywork
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to facilityemergencies
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years facilities experience in a hospital or healthcaresetting
- 2+ years supervisory or lead experiencepreferred
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatoryrequirements
- Associate degree (AA) preferred or equivalent from two (2) year college or technicalschool;or3to5yearsrelatedexperienceand/ortraining;orequivalent combination of education andexperience
- Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related fieldpreferred
- CHFM or FMP certification aplus
Thisrolerequiresafter-hoursavailabilityandcollaborationwithclinical,infectionprevention, IT, and leadershipteams.
