Job Summary: The Lead Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications:

·High School diploma or GED required

·Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program.

·CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred

·1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.

·Experience with all types of sterilizers.

·Knows operating room instrumentation.

·Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.

·Understands Sterrad sterilizers.

·Ability to prepare reports and keep records.

·Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required

·Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed

·Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians 

Hourly Range: $24.00 - $40.00/hour

Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
