Under general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer(CFO), the Materials Manager procures products and services in the most cost effective manner and in accordance with approved guidelines and polices. This position maintains the overall receiving, stocking and distribution duties adhering to all requirements of Hospital and USPI Materials Management Policy and Procedure Manual. |

Competencies and responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of hospital-wide and department specific standards. The department specific standards include the competencies appropriate to the ages of the customer served. The employee’s competencies are evaluated on an on-going basis, and formally documented at least annually as part of the Performance Appraisal process.

Attends at least 8 staff meetings annually, reads and returns all monthly staff meeting minutes. |

Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. |
Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. |
Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department. |
