Overview
Nurse Navigators are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. Nurse Navigators are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is searching for a Nurse Navigator to join our wonderful team in the Pre-OP PACU Department.
USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is a specialty inpatient hospital which was established to set a new standard for excellence and patient satisfaction in the delivery of orthopedic and spinal surgery. Arizona Specialty Hospital provides excellent patient services and the highest level of care, with the overall goal of improving the delivery of healthcare in Maricopa County and beyond.
Our singular focus is the state-of-the-art care of musculoskeletal conditions including joint replacement, spine surgery and other reconstructive procedures. Our mission is to provide first-class surgical services for the community in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment; one in which we would be happy to treat our own families.
This is a Full Time Position; Monday-Friday
Job Summary:
The Nurse Navigator will assume responsibility and accountability for the entire care pathway of the orthopedic and/or spine patient. Optimization of the program will be achieved by serving as a liaison throughout the continuum of care.  
There is ongoing collaboration to create a team approach with the care team including the surgeon; anesthesiologist; Pre-op, PACU, and OR staff; PT provider, facility leadership, and key members of the surgeon’s office. 
In addition to the day-to-day activities required, the position requires the Navigator to participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
