East Portland Surgery Center is looking for a PRNRegistered Nurse Operating Room Circulator to join the team!
East Portland Surgery Center is one of Portland’s leading multi-specialty surgery centers, performing cases in pain management, GI, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gynecology, ENT & Spine. Job Summary: The Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator is responsible for all patient care in the procedure room and working with the physician to deliver a successful procedure and outcome for the patient. Duties include - managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc; administers medication as ordered by physician, following the Moderate Sedation policy; safely monitors and documents care of patients in accordance with policy and procedure and guidelines of care; supports and assists the physicians with care of the patient throughout the procedure.
Monday-Friday daytime work schedule
NO call required
NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours
Required Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional Nursing
- Current Oregon License as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS & ACLS accredited by AHA required
- 2+ years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
- Experience in basic and advanced procedures and IV sedation experience preferred
- Experience with medical outpatient procedures desired
- Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
- Knowledgeable of hospital/ASC policies and procedures specific to the procedure room
- Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions with Patients, Physicians & fellow Team members
- Efficient use of resources
- Willingness to maintain a clean, organized environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
