Mercy Surgery Center has a PRN opening for Environment Services.   

Mercy Surgery Centeris a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. 

What You Will Do   (Job Summary):

Performs routine duties for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe and pristine environment in all areas of the facility in accordance with UPSI quality standards. This position assumes other responsibilities to facilitate a safe and effective operation of the facility and patient services.

 Key Duties Include:

·Monitor the facility for cleanliness before and during business hours.

·Damp dusts all horizontal surfaces including furniture, lights, booms, and equipment using a clean, lint-free cloth moistened with a facility-approved detergent/disinfectant.

·Cleans necessary items brought from areas outside the restricted area.

·Assesses the perioperative environment frequently for cleanliness.

·Ensures that contaminated laundry is disposed of appropriately.

·Handles contaminated disposable and reusable items safely and according to facility policies and state and federal regulations.

Monday-Friday daytime work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Starting Pay Range is $19 to $25 per hour, depending on experience


Required Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Housekeeping/Environment Services experience in hospital or medical center setting
