St. Mary's Ambulatory Surgery Center is a leading multispecialty surgery center in Richmond, VA, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a comfortable and efficient environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Full-Time Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth operations at the front desk.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in office administration or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment with professionalism.
  • Longevity in past roles.
