OR Patient Care Tech FTs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. OR Patient Care Tech FTs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Full-Time Operating Room PCT
Location: St. Mary’s ASC
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday; No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call required
Job Summary:
Join our dedicated team at Physicians' Surgery Center of Knoxville as a Full-Time OR Patient Care Tech. This role offers a stable work environment with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule—perfect for those who value work-life balance with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with room turnover to ensure a clean and ready environment for each patient.
- Position patients as needed to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures.
- Perform preoperative shaving when required.
- Maintain and manage stock and supplies to ensure the facility is well-equipped and operational.
- Assist Clinical staff as needed.

Required Skills:
- Proven experience as an Anesthesia Technician or CNA certification required.
- Strong understanding of sterile field protocols.
- Ability to multitask and assist in fast-paced procedures.
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- We seek candidates who have demonstrated stability and commitment in their previous positions; job hoppers need not apply.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing work setting.
