OR RN Circulators are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. OR RN Circulators are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN – Full-time
Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Richmond
We’re looking for a dedicated full-time OR Circulator Nurse to join our team. The OR Circulator plays a key role in supporting safe, efficient surgical procedures by coordinating all aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgery. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative surgical team.
Responsibilities:
- Circulate for a variety of surgical cases while ensuring patient safety and adherence to aseptic techniques
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists to anticipate patient and procedural needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of intraoperative care
- Verify surgical supplies and equipment are prepared and functional prior to each procedure
- Support infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and act as a patient advocate throughout the surgical experience
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of OR Circulator experience preferred; ASC experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic principles, and perioperative nursing standards
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

- Proficient in using surgical equipment and maintaining aseptic standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all clinical roles
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an OR Circulator RN (ASC experience preferred)
- Prior experience supporting multiple surgical specialties
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate perioperative care
