Patient Care Technician – PreOp/Post Op

Location: Richmond, VA
Facility: St. Mary’s Ambulatory Surgery Center


St. Mary’s Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art, multispecialty surgical facility dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Located in the heart of Richmond, VA, we pride ourselves on delivering efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care to our patients and their families.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Patient Care Technician to join our PreOp/Post Op team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist nurses and medical staff in providing excellent care to patients in the PreOp and Post Op areas.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, patient observations, and recovery progress.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during pre- and post-operative care.
  • Prepare and maintain patient care areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and provide support as needed.

Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current CNA Certification is mandatory.
  • BLS/CPR Certification required.
  • Demonstrated longevity in previous roles, showcasing reliability and commitment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
