MRI Tech Assistant - FT - Baptist M&S Imaging Center Mission Trail
San Antonio, Texas Baptist M&S Imaging (07984)Provides assistance to technologists, radiologist and other departments. May be responsible for front desk duties also. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
General Functions:
· Responds to requests and questions
· Exhibits required customer service skills for communication with customers/patients
· Greets patients/describes procedures
· Sends films to referring physicians based on the special request list
· Administers oral contrast to patients and provides instructions as needed under director of technologists
· Remains aware and communicates appointment delays and changes in schedules
· Adheres to OSHA regulations and universal precautions.
· Provides assistance to the Patient Service Representative, Technologists and Radiologists.
· Transports patients if required.
· Assists with transferring and positioning patients on table
· Prepares room for patent care and stocks supplies
· Verifies films are going to the correct physician and correct location before sending. Follows up to ensure report turnaround of 24 hours. 100%
· Informs supervisor of difficult customer situations · Maintains work area · Scans documents into FUJI · Serves as courier when needed · Assumes “on call” if needed · Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively · Maintains safe environment · Participates in Performance Improvement Activities
