Overview
PACU RN Full Times are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. PACU RN Full Times are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
Pre-Op/PACU Full Time at Synergy Surgery Center in San Diego, CA. We are looking for a top-performer with solid knowledge of Pre- operative and PACU/ Recovery Nursing ..
Synergy Surgery Center is a brand new outpatient surgery center in the Mission Valley area that specializes in Orthopedics. The entire center is new construction with all new equipment and more than 20 different orthopedic surgeons. The Center features 5 ORs and with spacious areas for both pre-op and PACU. The PACU will have 3 suites for 23 hour stay if needed. We look forward to building our brand new team of nurses, techs and business office personnel!
Pay Range: $50.00 - $62.00
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.
Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current CA Nursing License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 year experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
- Excellent teaching skills
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
Required Experience:
*Experience working in an ASC is a plus.
Ortho experience required.
*Must be team-oriented and patient-focused.
