Providence Summit Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.

We have been in operation at this location since 1985 and perform over 6,000 surgeries per year. Multi-specialty areas include ENT, GI Lab, General Surgery, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Oral Surgery and Urology.

What You Will Do   (Job Summary): The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.  

• Monday-Friday work schedule!
• NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours!
• NO call required!

Starting pay range is  $24 - $40/hour depending on experience

• High School diploma or GED required
• Computer skills, required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• Six months of experience, preferred
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
