Position Summary

USPI/Urology ASC in Scottsdale is seeking an experienced and dedicated Charge Nurse to lead clinical operations in our state-of-the-art surgical center. This role is vital in delivering exceptional patient care across pre-op, OR, and post-op settings. The Charge Nurse ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards while supporting a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment

About Us

Urology ASC – Phoenix (Perimeter) is a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center specializing in outpatient urologic procedures. As part of the United Urology Group and a joint venture with USPI (United Surgical Partners International), we provide efficient, high-quality surgical care in a comfortable and private setting. Our facility is AAAHC-accredited and Medicare-deemed, supporting advanced urologic procedures with a dedicated team of OR nurses, CRNAs, and board-certified anesthesiologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day clinical operations in the OR, Pre-op, and PACU areas.
  • Oversee nursing staff assignments, OR schedules, and patient flow.
  • Ensure documentation, infection control, and patient safety standards are met.
  • Maintain compliance with AAAHC, HIPAA, and CMS regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and committee work.
  • Delegate tasks according to scope of practice and policy.

Required Skills:

Required Skills

  • Current RN license in the State of Arizona (required).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of OR nursing experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of urologic procedures a plus.
