SurgCenter Pima Crossing is seeking a PRN Rad Tech to join the team!

Job Summary: 

  • Imaging Procedures:
    • Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities as needed, in accordance with the orders from the physician.
    • Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain the clearest and most accurate diagnostic images.
    • Adjust and maintain imaging equipment to ensure high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
    • Follow established protocols and safety measures to ensure proper patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Patient Care & Preparation:
    • Greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
    • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
    • Monitor patients during the procedure to ensure safety, comfort, and well-being.
    • Prepare and manage contrast agents and other necessary imaging supplies as needed.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff to coordinate and support surgical procedures.
    • Assist in the positioning and imaging of patients as required for diagnostic and pre-operative assessments.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintenance & Inventory Management:
    • Ensure the imaging area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
    • Assist with the inventory management of imaging supplies, ordering replacements as needed to avoid shortages.
    • Ensure that the imaging equipment is maintained and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

Required Skills:

Required Skills:

  • Education:
    • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
    • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Active and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
    • State license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Arizona required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    • Advanced certifications (e.g., fluoroscopy) may be required or preferred depending on the specific duties of the role.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a surgical or outpatient setting.
    • Experience in imaging for orthopedics, spine surgery, or similar specialties is a plus.
