ASC located in Scottsdale looking for a PRN Radiology Technologist with pain management experience (preferred). C-arm and Ultrasound are utilized for needle placement, experience or certification in Ultrasound is not required and will be included in training.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: The following description of the job responsibilities and performance expectations are intended to reflect the major responsibilities of the job, but is not intended to describe the minor duties or other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to perform the essential functions.

  • Operate C-arm/Ultrasound for all procedures as directed by physician

  • Provide and protect all patients and staff against unnecessary radiation with use of lead aprons, collimation and correct technique manipulation

  • Ensure proper use of radiation exposure badges of all staff in procedure room

  • Limit radiation exposure time for all personnel in procedure room by all means necessary

  • Assist patient on procedure table in correct position and take all precautions for patient safety

  • Position table/patient and align C-arm for appropriate imaging according to physician specifications

  • Operate ultrasound and assist doctor for all procedures where required

  • Save/DICOM all procedure images, including US, for storage in patient chart

  • Complete all QA procedures as needed under direction of Radiology Department director

  • Notifies department director of equipment/machine malfunction.

  • Adheres to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control.

  • Participates in Performance Improvement Plan.

  • Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team.

  • Acts in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center.

  • Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.

  • Follows the Center's professional conduct and dress code policy.

  • Communicates effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians and their office staffs, patients and employees.

  • Assists with other responsibilities of Center as deemed necessary by management.


Required Skills:

- AART Registered and CPR Current.
- Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations.
- Must possess independent decision making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.

  • Associates degree or higher from an accredited Radiology Technology program, 1-2 years experience in OR setting- Pain management specialty preferred
