Patient Transporter at Select Surgical Center at Kennedy

The Patient Transporterhelps patients by transporting them into, around, and out of the surgery center. 

Responsibilities:

  • Transports patients by assisting patients to the car via wheelchair; lifting patients on and off stretchers and recliners.
  • Comforts patients and their families by offering support and encouragement; being punctual and attentive to procedure schedules; demonstrating caring and cultural sensitivity.
  • Transports equipment, supplies, and delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.
  • Cleans and prepares stretchers, recliners, and wheelchairs for patient use.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Restocking, maintaining and organizing medical supplies in the PreOP/PACU areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred.
  • Current BLS required.

Starting Pay: $18.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
