Regional Materials Management Technician
Serving Two Locations in Germantown, TN, One in Southaven, MS, and One in Memphis, TN

Gastro One is seeking an experienced full-time Materials Management Technician to coordinate and manage materials for our four Ambulatory Surgery Center locations—two in Germantown, TN, Memphis, TN and one in Southaven, MS. These are fast-paced surgical center environments dedicated to delivering the highest quality care and experience for patients and their families.

This individual will work in Germantown, TN.

Position Overview:
The Materials Management Technician is responsible for the procurement, inventory, and distribution of all surgical supplies and equipment across our facilities. This role ensures that the surgical teams have the necessary materials to support patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day materials supply operations for the surgical teams

  • Manage procurement for all surgical center supplies, excluding food and pharmaceuticals

  • Coordinate purchasing, receiving, storage, distribution, and record-keeping to maintain adequate inventory levels of patient care and office supplies, materials, and equipment

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure optimal departmental customer service and communication

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of OR supplies, instruments, and implants

  • Collaborate as a team member across all facility departments

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in receiving and inventory management within a healthcare setting preferred

  • Strong math and counting skills

  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel preferred)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact tactfully with staff and public

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Detail orientation and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform physical activities such as standing, bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting items overhead

  • Capable of working in a clean and sterile environment
