Responsibilities

Under general supervision, assist Physicians during catheterization electrophysiology lab procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors the patient condition, and provides routine and emergency patient care during procedures. Contributes to the orientation and training of other personnel. Assist in daily, monthly, and or quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting. Able to assist and scrub, at a proficient level, all procedures related to the department in both acute and stable patients.

Must work 4 shifts a month for 6 months OR 8 Shifts a month for 3 months


Required Skills:

Knowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular principles, instrumentation, and techniques.

Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.

2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience preferred

AART (R) & Texas MRT unencumbered required for Radiologic technologist. 

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
