Admissions/Surgery Scheduler/Insurance Verifier at Sherman Endoscopy Center
The PART-TIME surgery scheduler and insurance verifier plays a vital role in a successful surgical procedure.
- The surgery scheduler is responsible for daily maintenance of the surgery schedule and all aspects of the scheduling process. This includes strategizing and problem solving and ensuring high levels of customer service with scheduling coordinators from all doctors' offices and operating room staff.
- This role will also handle insurance verification.
- Successful candidate will possess outstanding leadership, communication and customer service skills as well as the ability to diffuse difficult scheduling conflicts efficiently with strategy. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate previous successful/positive customer service encounters or programs.
Required Skills:
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in medical insurance verification and patient registration required
- 1 year of experience as a surgery scheduler
- Preferred experience in Navinet, Availity, Optum, Pair Portal
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
