Sterile Processing Tech at Shrewsbury Surgery Center

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Sterile Processing Certification Program.
  • CRCST OR CSPDT certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and department supply items required.
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts.
