The Center for Special Surgery provides a wide variety of care in the following services; orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, pain, podiatry, and now offering outpatient total joint replacement. Our highly trained, experienced and respected physicians take pride in all aspects of patient care.
Sterile Processing Tech at Center for Special Surgery
The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications
- ·High School Diploma or Equivalent
- ·Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
- ·Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
- ·Experience with all types of sterilizers
- ·Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
- ·Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
- ·Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
