Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
Sugar Land Cardiovascular ASC is seeking a motivated PreOp/PostOp/Circulating RN to join our team.We have 2 cath labs and 10 pre/post op beds.We perform diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures, pacemaker and ICD implants, pulse generator changes, loop implants and a variety of IR procedures. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday based on staff rotation, schedule subject to change based on procedure schedule/volume/flow of the day.Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings(6am) and later afternoons.
Position requires weekday only based on a staff rotation-no holidays or call.Some later afternoons required.
Job Summary:The PreOp/PostOp/Circulating RN has the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate, implement all nursing care services for the pre-op and post-op surgical patients, as well as circulate for cases in the cath labs, in a manner consistent with our mission statement.They participate in the development of patient plan of care to include patient prep, goals, evaluations and interventions.This care includes monitoring of heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, respiration, radial closure devices as well as managing the recovery of the patient from moderate sedation. They may have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Director, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees and participation in quality improvement audits and projects.
Required Skills:
Position Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and be currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of Texas.
- Maintains current ACLS and CPR certification.
- A minimum of one- year experience in the Cath Lab is
preferred.
