Responsibilities
Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway is looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dedicated surgical team!
Located in The Woodlands, TX, our center is a collaboration between physicians, United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and Memorial Hermann Health System. We specialize in outpatient surgical care and are known for our efficient, patient-centered environment and high clinical standards. About the Role
The Certified Scrub Tech supports the surgical team by ensuring that all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready for use during procedures. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up surgical instruments and sterile fields in accordance with case requirements
- Assist surgeons and OR staff during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments
- Ensure proper handling of sterile equipment and maintain aseptic technique at all times
- Perform instrument counts and support infection control standards
- Assist with OR turnover and prepare for subsequent cases
- Collaborate with circulating nurses and SPD team for optimal surgical flow

Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
- Ability to stay focused and organized in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
- Certification (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT required
- Previous experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center preferred
- BLS certification required
