Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OR Circulator - Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless surgical experience by coordinating patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and collaborating with the surgical team to optimize patient safety and outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and passionate about providing top-tier patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment before procedures.
  • Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to facilitate smooth procedures.
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Advocate for patient needs and ensure compliance with surgical policies and procedures.
  • Document all perioperative care accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and responding quickly to changes during procedures.
  • Assist in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the OR.

Required Skills:

  • Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.

Required Experience:
  • Current RN license in the state of Texas.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous experience in a hospital or surgical center required.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and perioperative documentation is a plus.
