Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated OR Tech to join our surgical team. The OR Tech plays a vital role in ensuring the operating room is prepared, sterile, and efficiently organized for surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to providing excellent support to surgeons and the perioperative team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure sterile technique and adherence to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to changing situations.
- Maintain an organized and stocked sterile field before, during, and after surgery.
- Handle surgical specimens appropriately and ensure proper documentation.
- Perform equipment checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Assist in room turnover and sterilization between cases.
