Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft, located in The Woodlands, Texas, is a leading outpatient surgical facility delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care across a variety of specialties. As a joint venture with United Surgical Partners International (USPI) and part of the Memorial Hermann Health System, our team is dedicated to clinical excellence and exceptional outcomes.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and team-oriented Full-time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our perioperative nursing staff. This RN will play a key role in ensuring patients are prepared for their procedures and safely recover post-operatively in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Pre-Op and PACU areas
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and obtain pre-procedure documentation
  • Start IVs, administer pre-operative medications, and monitor vital signs
  • Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
  • Closely monitor patients in the post-anesthesia recovery phase, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and fellow nursing staff
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols

Required Skills:
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Strong IV start and medication administration proficiency
  • Ability to stay calm and prioritize in high-paced environments
  • Clear and compassionate communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams
  • Competence in monitoring post-anesthesia patients for adverse reactions
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and nursing documentation standards
  • Solid understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines

Required Experience:
  • Current RN license in the state of Texas, in good standing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS a plus)
  • 1–2 years of experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing preferred
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting is a plus
