Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OR Circulator - Registered Nurse, per-diem to join our surgical team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless surgical experience by coordinating patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and collaborating with the surgical team to optimize patient safety and outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and passionate about providing top-tier patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment before procedures.
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to facilitate smooth procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Advocate for patient needs and ensure compliance with surgical policies and procedures.
- Document all perioperative care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and responding quickly to changes during procedures.
- Assist in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the OR.

Required Experience:
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a hospital or surgical center required.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and perioperative documentation is a plus.
