Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Woodlands Parkway is a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility nestled in the heart of The Woodlands, Texas. Our team is committed to safety, precision, and compassionate care across a range of specialties.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Nurse to support and enhance our facility’s patient safety and quality initiatives. This role plays a key part in upholding compliance with regulatory standards, tracking performance improvement efforts, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality and performance improvement activities to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Conduct audits, data collection, and analysis related to clinical quality metrics and outcomes
  • Monitor compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and corporate standards
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analyses and implement corrective action plans when needed
  • Educate staff on quality initiatives, infection control, and risk management practices
  • Assist in preparing for state, federal, and accreditation surveys
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote evidence-based practices
  • Serve as a key contact for reporting and investigating patient safety events
  • Develop and track quality reports and dashboards for leadership review

Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and performance improvement processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and data management tools
  • Ability to lead educational sessions and engage staff in quality-focused initiatives
  • Knowledge of CMS, AAAHC, Joint Commission, or other accrediting body standards

Required Experience:
  • Active RN license in the state of Texas required
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery or surgical hospital setting
  • Prior experience in quality or risk management preferred
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and quality benchmarking tools a plus
