Located on the Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center campus, our center offers a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, GI, gynecology, ophthalmology, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, and urology. Operating Room Circulator

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operating Room Circulator to join our surgical team. The OR Circulator will be responsible for providing nursing care and services during surgical procedures, including patient positioning, preparation, and circulating duties. Experience in various surgical specialties is preferred.


Responsibilities Include

  • Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Monitor patient condition, assess vital signs, and respond to any signs of complications
  • Administer medications, including those for pain management, as ordered by the physician
  • Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other clinical staff to support a coordinated care plan
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Follow all infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe operating environment
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills
  • Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families before and after surgery

  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) is a plus
  • Familiarity with prepping ORs, patient positioning, and equipment/supply management
