Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our Post-Surgical Unit!
Patient Care Technician at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club:
·The PCT will report primarily to PSU, but will be available for cross-training anywhere inside Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Trophy Club and will be assigned to other departments, upon approval of PSU director.
·PCT’s clinical duties will include assisting in all phases of routine patient care, obtaining and documenting vital signs, collection of lab specimens, ambulating patients, responding to patient requests, passing dietary trays, and accompanying patient as necessary.
·PCT will not perform any duties requiring licensure and/or certification beyond the scope of a patient care technician
·The PCT’s nonclinical duties will include secretarial/administrative duties at the PSU nursing desk, answering telephones, answering call lights, build charts on new admission patients, break down charts on discharged patients, entering charges into EHR, organizing and performing first audit of medical record prior to turning chart into Medical Records
