Responsibilities
$7,500 SIGN ON BONUS
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies variances through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. Oversees Pre-op/PACU/PAT; assists as Pre-op/PACU/PAT RN as necessary
Required Skills:
Education
- Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Two (2) years experience in surgery management that must include pre-op, intra-op, post-op care with total joint and spine experience.
- Licenses/Certifications/ Registrations
- Current Arizona RN License
- BLS & ACLS Certification required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Independent decision making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.
ORGANIZATIONAL
RELATIONSHIPS: Supervises: All staff in Pre-op, PACU, PAT
Contacts/Interacts with: Physicians, all facility staff, Board of
Managers, patients and families.
POSITION COMPETENCIES/
RESPONSIBILITIES: Competencies and responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of hospital-wide and department-specific standards. The department specific standards include the competencies appropriate to the ages of the customer served. The employee''s competencies are evaluated on an on-going basis, and formally documented at least annually as part of the Performance Appraisal process.
