Responsibilities
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP) at Texas Spine & Joint Hospital in Tyler, Texas. The NP/PA will be working in a clinical setting, the Surgical Preoperative Area (SPA), providing optimization of patients prior to elective surgical procedures. Strong internal medicine background required. The PA/NP would have the opportunity, if desired, to also provide post-operative care for inpatients and a low volume emergency room. The PA/NP will act under the authority and supervision of the attending physician and in accordance with all regulations, hospital policy, protocols and clinical pathways. Must hold a current Texas advance practice nursing license or physician assistant license, current BLS and ACLS certification or the ability to obtain these within 90 days upon hire. The PA/NP applicant will have a minimum 1-year recent hospital and/or urgent care experience. Minimum 2-years' experience preferred.
