Responsibilities
The Nurse Navigator provides coordinated, patient-centered care across the continuum for patients undergoing elective orthopedic and spine procedures. This role serves as a clinical liaison between patients, surgeons, anesthesia, Surgical Pre-Authorization (SPA), and interdisciplinary teams to ensure readiness for surgery, compliance with clinical recommendations, and optimal surgical outcomes. The Nurse Navigator supports patients through pre-operative preparation, education, and coordination of required clearances while promoting quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Qualifications: Required 1. Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. 2 Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in: Perioperative services, Orthopedics, Spine surgery, Case management or care coordination, AND Strong knowledge of elective surgical workflows and pre-operative requirements. Preferred: 1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience in a specialty or orthopedic hospital setting. Familiarity with surgical pre-authorization processes. Experience with patient education and care navigation roles
