Suburban Endoscopy Surgery Center is hiring a GI PreOp/PACU RN
GI PreOp/PACU RN at Suburban Endoscopy Surgery Center
The GI PreOp/PACU RN will be responsible for providing excellent nursing care, and to actively participate in and contribute to the management of the Endoscopy Unit. They are expected to participate in the maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures and provide technical assistance during such procedures in the OR. This is a fast-paced ambulatory center but excellent patient service is a priority and commitment at every staff level.
Qualifications
- Current NJ Nursing License
- Current CPR, ACLS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of GI experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
- Excellent teaching skills
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
Pay Range: 52.51/hr - $60.14/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
