Are you seeking an extraordinary career opportunity at a state-of-the-art healthcare facility? Houston Physicians Hospital is currently seeking to hire a Full-Time Billing and Collections Specialist!

Billing and Collections Specialist at Houston Physicians Hospital

Responsible for proper communication with patients, staff, and management regarding account status. Generates patient account statements, maintains accounts receivable files, and follow up on collection of receivables. Responsible for ensuring claims are billed timely with accurate coding. Communicates with appropriate staff to ensure all charges are being captures through proper documentation. Reviews financial obligation with patient and family member.


Qualifications:

  • High School graduate required
  • Four years of medical facility or medical business office experience preferred
  • Experience in customer relations or teaching preferred
  • Experience in third party payer requirements preferred
  • Automated billing systems experience required
  • Training/experience in business office activities preferred
  • Requires frequent and constant judgment for timely response to patient and staff questions and concerns.
  • Requires language skills adequate for effective written and interpersonal communication in American English.
  • Require visual and auditory acuity adequate for frequent use of computers and occasional use of other business office equipment.
