At Winter Haven Ambulatory Surgery Center we provide first-class surgical services for local communities and recognize our employees as our number one assets. As a Preoperative Registered Nurse (RN) at our facility, you have the opportunity to enjoy no calls, no weekends and no holidays. We focus on offering a high quality, ambulatory care alternative to a hospital for surgical procedures. We have been in operation at this location since 1985 and perform over 6,000 surgeries per year. Specialty areas include ENT, GI Lab, General Surgery, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Oral Surgery and Urology.
Position Responsibilities:
The Registration Representative interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff and :
- Admits patients and process their paperwork
- Updates patient demographics/information in system
- Collects monies due and document in the billing system
- Handles funds per office procedure
- Answers incoming phone calls.

Required Skills:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
- Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
- Bilingual preferred.
- Good communication skills.
