Lead Physical Therapist at Surgical Institute of Reading
The Physical Therapy Lead is tasked with overseeing our physical department(s) by offering services, creating strategic goals and acting as a liaison between other medical departments.The job also entails overseeing day-to-day operations and seeing as well as evaluating patients as necessary.You can also expect to implement sound and effective financial strategies, anticipate financial requirements and analyze monthly financial reports.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicates appropriately to physicians, staff and administrative team.
  • Prepares reports regarding rehabilitative services, i.e., utilization, performance improvement and productivity plans.
  • Demonstrates integrity and discretion in all job related matters.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
  • Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
  • Provides education to staff on performance improvement.
  • Ability to plan and organize orientation and in-service training for department staff members and participate in guidance and educational programs.
  • Performs management activities including but not limited to evaluating staff performance and interviewing.
  • Complies with all federal, state and local legal and professional requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Manages multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
  • Daily supervision of staff.
  • May assume periodic responsibility of the department in absence of the Director Physical Therapy.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate daily work flow to ensure department needs are met.
  • Demonstrates willingness to assist with other duties when asked

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed physical therapist and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
  • Maintains continuing education credits as required by the State
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current BLS Certification
