Surgical Institute of Reading (SIR) Physical Therapy is a leading outpatient orthopedic clinic dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Our clinics have won Best of Berks for Rehabilitation Services for 4 years straight.  We specialize in treating musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries, helping patients return to their optimal level of function and wellness.
Patient Service Specialist at Surgical Institute of Reading
Responsible for greeting patients, scheduling patients, answering telephones, insurance verification and upfront collections.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Answer multi-line phones.
  • Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
  • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based availability
  • Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EHR
  • Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Must exhibit a pleasant, warm disposition and a willingness to help others.
  • Must respect the responsibilities of the position.
  • Must display initiative in assisting patients while respecting their rights to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Must have a knowledge of the philosophy, policies and procedures of the facility, and promote same.
  • Must be flexible and willing to help in all other areas.
